Figure Preparation

Figure Preparation

The submitted Figures should either be professionally drawn and photographed or high photographic quality digital prints. The authors should send a suitable version of the figures for printing (whenever applicable) and highest possible quality electronic files such as Tiff, JPEG or PNG with at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) for the web version of the journal. It is suggested to authors that they shall review the images on a computer screen before submitting to ensure the quality standards.

While submitting X-ray films, scans and any other diagnostic images, including the pictures of pathology specimens or photomicrographs, the authors shall send them as sharp, glossy, black-and-white or color photographic prints, which are usually at least 127 x 173 mm (5 x 7 inches).

All the figures should be numbered sequentially according to the order in which they appear and cited within the main text. If a figure has already been published somewhere, the best practice is to acknowledge the original source and submit written permission from the copyright holder to republish the material. Except for the documents that are in a public domain, taking permission is required from authorship or publisher.
